Friends of the Funeral
Mar. 14th, 2002 09:03 amHey there, all...
I sold 18 shamrocks, for a total of 578. Comparatively, that's a pretty crappy night, but...well, we're two weeks in and I think people are getting a wee bit tired of being hit up for donations. :)
On a slightly bitchy note, it really bugs me that all of these rich college frat boys in Abercrombie clothes can pop their mommies' gas cards for beef jerky, potato chips and Marlboro Lights in a box, but they can't spare a fucking dollar for someone who can't even afford a wheelchair that's deemed necessary because their muscles are wasting away for no discernable reason. I mean, what kind of selfish, heartless bastard do you have to be to not care about that?
Anyway, I'm tiiiired. I got all of 3.5 hours of sleep yesterday, and I've just worked nine hours. But I still have e-mail to check and send, and I want to read a bit of "Book of Lost Houses: The Second Coming" before I finally pass out. It was *well* worth the wait getting it. The last 5 sidhe houses are loads more interesting, actually, than most of the predecessors with perhaps the exception of House Leanhaun. The first chapter, detailing a brief history of House Beaumayn, really floored me. I thought up an entire chronicle just reading it. It's *awesome*. :)
Now I've *got* to find Keys to the Kingdom and The Book of Glamour.
