Weight Training Exercises So Far
Jan. 5th, 2008 11:13 amThanks to
electronin for the link, which has proven quite useful in helping me not sound like a *complete* dumbass when it comes to these exercises. :)
So the idea is to do a set of weight training exercises during each of these workouts, focusing on different areas. I'm thinking that my days will be Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday normally, with Friday and Saturday devoted towards...other things. Sunday will be chest and triceps day, Tuesday will be back and biceps, Thursday will be legs.
toob help me set this up, and I'm hoping it'll help with adding a little bit of definition. Bulk is OK, but I'm not after that. Mostly I just want to be fit.
Chest:
Machine Chest Press
Triceps:
Cable Pushdown
Back:
Wide Grip Lateral Pulldown
Straight Arm Pushdown
Straight Back Seated Row
Biceps:
Preacher Curl (This one has a really groovy name! <3)
Sorry if this is incredibly boring to most of you, but this is new and interesting to me. :)
The storm yesterday was pretty intense, but fun. Adobe's front lobby made the wind howl almost constantly all day, so it sounded like banshees were having a kegger in the elevator shafts. :) On those few moments where I got out to look through the windows, the flags across the street were being whipped by the wind savagely, and rain was driving sideways. Pretty impressive! It made me glad for being indoors, that's for sure.
Most employees came to work because their power was out at home, which I found amusing. Surprisingly we didn't go down at all at home, and I think the worst of the wind is over. It'll be raining through the weekend, though.
This weekend I hope to listen to the first tape of my French course, though I'm not exactly sure when. Sunday is a good candidate, actually, sometime in the morning before the running but after the meditation. Sometime this weekend I'd like to write a movie review or two, set down my list of goals for the first half of January and get started on all of the 'little' continuous projects I've got going on. I'm going to get a lot of use out of my iCal this year, I can feel it. :D
All right, better get started on all of that stuff. :D
