Hey there, all...

I had a pretty good weekend all things considered. Worked on Boomer Express for this week, wrote the first part of Love in War, the New Tibet story thing, and finally started getting on towards rewriting Salvation. I also wrote up a couple of idea for the Changeling chronicle that still hasn't quite started yet. I think a big part of me just doesn't want to give up my Sunday evenings to gaming. It's just too nice to have the *entire* day to slack off with.

Did laundry, cleaned the room...a lot of folks came in to talk to me yesterday, and that was always nice. It's a great feeling, being opened up to. You just sit there and listen, and after a while people are saying things they've *really* needed to say but always felt too self-conscious too. Horrific analogy, I know, but it's like this bit of sickness they've needed to cough up.

I had a very odd dream last night that was sort of confusing. I was working at Barnes and Noble and the Dickson Street Bookshop at the same time, but the Bookshop was more this weird warehouse-type place with a really British storefront (don't ask me how I know, I just knew.). I reported for work and found out Bernadette and I had gotten laid off, and it made me really, really sad. I still had another job, but still...the coworkers weren't nearly as pleasant. And the manager...the manager was Charles.

It was scary, let me tell you. Charles managing a Barnes and Noble is just...wrong. I'm sure it's one of the signs of the Apocalypse.

Anywho, lots of work today! Zen meditation tonight! Meditating at home has been a lot harder (and more worthwhile) than doing it with other folks, but it's nice to have a (small) community about. :)
