OK, so love is confusing.
My PMP is in serious jeopardy because the state of Arkansas decided they wanted two hundred dollars in ten days from *me*. I didn't even make enough to pay taxes up until last year, but they say I owe them $200 from 2001. Goddamnit.
I can fight it, I just don't know how well it's going to work out.

drleo is over, we played the very *first* mini-golf game of the year yesterday!!! Mini-golf season is upon us, you do not *know* how happy I am about this. :D :D :D I tied with Silver yesterday, and that...eh, sucked. I got raped on the very last hole, and if I had managed to sink it in 2 I would have won with a 41, but noooooo, I had to get a 42. :P Boo.
We'll be going again today. :)
I've been thinking a lot about ??Salvation??. For anyone who doesn't know, I guess I should explain what this is, because if everything works out I'll be spazzing about it a lot more.

I've been thinking a lot about ??Salvation??. For anyone who doesn't know, I guess I should explain what this is, because if everything works out I'll be spazzing about it a lot more. <:) ??Salvation?? is pretty much the working name for a web-comic that I've been kicking about for the past, oh, say...year, since a few months after ASB ended. It's a slice-of-life comic about a fellow's adventures in college, and how he changes from a rather introverted, nervous individual to someone else by the end of it. There'll be some other things in the storyline, but the overall theme, I've discovered, is one of consistent and constant growth, despite all of our wishes to the contrary.
Anyway, the main character is a kangaroo named Milo. I originally imagined him as a sort of brooding protagonist, constantly scared and confused by the world and its effect on him. A lot of the stress he deals with is his own personal inertia, trying to stand still long enough to get a sense of the world that's constantly shifting around him. Since everything, including him, is in a state of constant flux, he can never quite get a handle on himself *or* his situation.
I like that, but I think Milo is a bit *too* serious, and that makes for a slightly less-likable character. I've shifted gears a bit to make Milo a bit more whimsical, imaginative. I think I'd like to make Milo a bit more of an idealist, because it makes more sense. He's so focused on his ideal existence that he simply doesn't notice the world (and himself) changing constantly, so the inertia comes from a distant source; passive resistance rather than active rebellion. <:)
Hopefully, <user site="livejournal.com" user="potoroo"> is still interested in it. <:)
