Poem: A Connection

This...dribbled out of my ear. It sounds a bit self-serving, almost like something Kevin Costner would write. I might want to put it up somewhere, though, once it's cleaned up.

A Connection

I'm a bouncing bubble boy
wrapped up in an AT field --
AT stands for "ain't touchin'" --
but you see, this box I'm in
has lost all room
I've grown too big or the world's too small
now
and all I want is to escape
this buffer zone, this comfortable separation
I'm a bubble trapped by thousands of little bubbles
I've let
cling to me
now
I've got to go
get out of this bubble wrap
because when I've shrugged off all the Biblical trappings
there's greater things in heaven and earth
than composure has ever let me see
and the only way to witness it all
is the only way I want to live
in a state of constant and total crashing
through walls and packing tape
I *will* touch you
because that's my purpose
I just want to connect
I just want to connect
I just want to connect, with you
now.
