Hey there, all...
Went to Aubrin's D and D game last night. It was a lot of fun, but some bastard held things up while making hot cocoa for everyone.

Hey there, all...
Went to Aubrin's D and D game last night. It was a lot of fun, but some bastard held things up while making hot cocoa for everyone. <:) It was a nice progression from his first; definitely a bit more difficult than the last game, even if the main baddie at the end of the night was a pure screw-up. :) The villain being a power-mad mage/cleric who's quite frankly out of his league was a very interesting one indeed. It certainly changed my perceptions that 'dangerous' villains always have to know exactly what they're doing. :)
Aubrin's gonna make a good storyteller. :)
I've been reading up on classical American novels recently for some reason. (I'm afraid Monkey got put on a bit of a hiatus.) I just finished The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, and now I'm reading Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck. Gatsby was pretty good, even if the scene around his untimely demise was a bit confused. Maybe it's because I didn't pick up on things during the first read-through; I'll go over it again to make sure it's not just me being unobservant.
Today, I'm feeling pretty good. Almost got into a big discussion with my 're-invented' friend, but we were interrupted by a phone call and then company. By then, I was too stupid on sleep deprivation to make a good point, so I went to bed.
It's *really* cold in the house this week. This morning I found out the thermostat by my bedroom door actually worked, but we're going to have to fill the gas tank before I dare turn on the heater. I'd rather be cold and low on gas than warm for a couple days and blowing our reserve. I *really* have to talk to the gas delivery folks, though...
Work is work. I'm pretty swamped, for once, with books and orders so hopefully I can make a dent in that today. There's nothing going on tonight, so hopefully I can sit down and get writing again. I lost all of my character biographies for ??Salvation??, so I'm going to have to start all over from scratch. Boo hoo.
I guess that's it for now.
