Time: 30 minutes
Distance: 2.70 miles
Speed: 6.3 mph
Calories: 277
Wide Grip Lat Pulldown: 45 lbs
Straight Arm Pushdown: 30 lbs.
Straight Back Seated Row: 60 lbs.
Preacher Curl: 20 lbs. x2, 10 lbs. x1
I hadn't realized how much I had been relying on
mut to time myself. I think I didn't wait long enough between reps, which means I tuckered myself out a bit early. By the time I had gotten to the preacher curls my arms were agonizing. They were really tight afterwards, and I can already feel some soreness setting in. You'd better believe I'm diving right into several glasses of water.
California is beautiful in its own Californy-way this time of year. Half of the trees are bare, a few more are evergreens, and in downtown San Jose there are palm trees that really aren't happy about being up here. The rain is chilling, the wind can get nuts, but the clouds are endlessly creative in ways they can play with the sunlight. Sunsets are just gorgeous, especially when there's fog rolling from the mountains.
Writing haiku for the past couple of weeks has made me a lot more appreciative of the nature here. I stop and watch the squirrels before seeing Ryan at the end of his shift. I'll take a moment walking to the bus stop to watch the color of the clouds as they reflect traffic lights before sunrise. There is so much beauty in the most ordinary things. Every moment has something that you'll never see again, even that moment is just something you've done a thousand times.
Now, it's off to the showers, and Mr. Chau's after that! Lemon chicken, here I come. :9
