Found this snippet while cleaning. Don't know where the rest of it is (floating around as flotsam words inside my head no doubt), so I decided to keep what I have here so far.

There are those days where I find it impossible
that I should be fortunate enough to breathe,
that my lungs should take in the stuff around me
and somewhere along the way
transmute it into breath.
But it does somehow; my chest lifts and falls
in, out, in, out,
and I am so amazed
that I forget to be grateful.
