There was this guy in front of the Starbucks in downtown San Jose. He had one of those drab olive jackets that veterans wear, and unwashed dreadlocks, but pretty metropolitan glasses. He was the stereotypically bohemian college student to a tee.
He was standing next to a trash can, where he had propped up a sign that read "Money Ain't Shit. :) Share a smile." He was aggressively wishing that people had good days. To me he said, "Have a good day. You can't afford my happiness! Keep the change!!"
I laughed, and damned if it didn't make my morning a little better.
