Joseph and the 30 Minute Lunch Break
Apr. 6th, 2007 02:54 pmI am here eating my triple-layer chocolate-and-butterscotch pudding cup, definitely grateful for the chance to be off my feet for twenty minutes. I've been buying books for real all day today, and I was starting to run down a little bit.
lazarusrat bought a few TV dinners home to eat in case we didn't feed him, but we did and so now they're ours. Weight Watchers(tm) Smart Ones(TM) Chicken Parmesan, I think they are, and damned if they aren't tasty. I mean, *really* tasty. :9 The moral of this story, I suppose, is that rats have excellent instincts when it comes to prepared dinners. Maybe I should call up Laz once a week and ask him what I should buy.
Things have been busy, of course, but I've been enjoying myself. I'm dipping my fingers into too many pies and I'm forgetting to taste the fruits of my labor, so the next lesson is to slow down and, well, pay attention. It's very difficult to be present when there's always two or three other things calling for your focus.
Speaking of, lunch break is over. Back to working. :)
