When The Universe Taps Your Ass
Feb. 6th, 2004 07:53 amI get a letter from Arvest, my bank, slipped under my door yesterday. I think, "Well, it's a wee bit early for my bank statement to be showing up, but I'll check it out." I open it up, and it tells me my balance has wandered into the negative ranges; three checks I wrote totalling about $16 threw me over the line and now I owe about $65 for them. Ow. It's doable, certainly, and I'm very grateful I have overdraft protection, but man...suck.
This is why you make absolutely sure your checkbook is balanced.
So, even if I *could* find a way to PMP now, it's very unlikely that I'll go. Between car, teeth and *now* this, I'm going to be in a small hole for a little while. Again. :)
With this paycheck, I'm planning to get tires for my car, manage some kind of insurance on it, and well...pay for my overdraft fees. And that takes care of that.
Odis' game tonight, which I am looking forward to. I'm not sure if I've spazzed about it yet or not, but here's a brief rundown:
( Spare the non-gamers. )
As you can see, the premise is pretty bizarre, but I'm digging it so far. I don't think the game has quite gelled yet, but it's well on its way there.
In the meantime, I have a bit of financial and auto stuff to set straight.
