I don't remember much about this dream, but I thought I would get into the habit of writing them down anyway.

I was Jerry, from TV's Tom and Jerry, only I wasn't mouse-sized. In fact, I'm pretty sure that my partner and I were human. I think we only looked like a cat and mouse through the lens of a camera.

Anyway, we had just done this big chase scene, and we both wanted to get some writing done for the show. The place where we were just wasn't cutting it (too busy), so we headed for this other outdoor restaurant that was attached to a Holiday Inn, and *that* was attached to an airport. The outside part of it was really nice, with stone tables and comfortable (but fashionable!) chairs, but the inside, where you got the food, was like this school cafeteria line. There was even the enormous lunch lady with the hair net.

I was nearly to the part where I actually got food when the intercom came on: "David Cowan, you are wanted at the Office." I quickly checked outside to make sure the papers I had on the table weren't blowing away (they weren't) and then I went on the hunt for the fabled hotel office.

I went down this wide hallway that was supposed to be secret, for employees only. I looked inside briefly, and there was a sign at the door: "Barnes and Noble Office". Damn, not the right one. I turned around to find the Holiday Inn Office, when the alarm went off.

Usually, for some reason, I'm not surprised by alarms, but today I was. It caught me completely off-guard. I fell out of bed.

So this week has been an interesting one so far.

Monday I nearly got in a fight with the busses. Well, not really, but I was at that level of aggravation. I missed *three* busses into work that morning, got in 90 minutes late, and got half-heartedly chewed on by Charles. I stayed until 6:30 or so to make up for it, believing that I could catch the bus home since no one here was picking up the phone. I waited for two hours after work for a bus, and *nothing* showed up. I frantically called everyone at the Cube for a bit, but *no one* was picking up. As a last ditch effort, I e-mailed the list for a ride, and got no less than three calls in 30 minutes. This says something, but I'm not sure what it is. :)

I was so upset that night I fell off the wagon, went into McDonald's and ate a Big Mac and McChicken. It was good, but I felt vaguely guilty Tuesday morning. Since I really hate that kind of guilt, where I make a conscious decision and feel remorseful about it later, I'll slap myself any time I think about eating meat to see if I *really* want it. There's no point in doing something like that if you're not going to enjoy it to the fullest, right?

Tuesday was just a day. All the busses were functioning within normal parameters, which was good. ;) I finished Breakfast of Champions and had a pretty lengthy chat with Toob about it. He offered a perspective I didn't really think about at the time (of course) and gave me a bit of contextual information that helped immensely. I think it's hard, though, to be completely destructive with writing. You can tear down long-standing ideas, challenge old beliefs and the like well enough, but you always offer another point of view, directly or indirectly, to replace it. Very rarely is art completely destructive. Unless you're David Lynch, and the art is Twin Peaks.

Today, of course, I hope to get a lot more writing done. :) It remains to be seen whether or not that will actually come to pass. I'd better make a list of things I should be doing, though, just to be sure.

+ Revise "Come, Come, Come..."
+ Get Mustsy assignment done.
+ Write "The Last Day of Kerston Miller".
+ Write "Grey Warming Over".
+ Character sketches for "Salvation's Chorus".
+ Write comics for "Boomer Express".
+ Write MFF comedy routine.

That looks like enough to keep me busy today. <:)
