Dream, 11.5.03
Nov. 5th, 2003 06:54 amI don't remember much about this dream, but I thought I would get into the habit of writing them down anyway.
I was Jerry, from TV's Tom and Jerry, only I wasn't mouse-sized. In fact, I'm pretty sure that my partner and I were human. I think we only looked like a cat and mouse through the lens of a camera.
Anyway, we had just done this big chase scene, and we both wanted to get some writing done for the show. The place where we were just wasn't cutting it (too busy), so we headed for this other outdoor restaurant that was attached to a Holiday Inn, and *that* was attached to an airport. The outside part of it was really nice, with stone tables and comfortable (but fashionable!) chairs, but the inside, where you got the food, was like this school cafeteria line. There was even the enormous lunch lady with the hair net.
I was nearly to the part where I actually got food when the intercom came on: "David Cowan, you are wanted at the Office." I quickly checked outside to make sure the papers I had on the table weren't blowing away (they weren't) and then I went on the hunt for the fabled hotel office.
I went down this wide hallway that was supposed to be secret, for employees only. I looked inside briefly, and there was a sign at the door: "Barnes and Noble Office". Damn, not the right one. I turned around to find the Holiday Inn Office, when the alarm went off.
Usually, for some reason, I'm not surprised by alarms, but today I was. It caught me completely off-guard. I fell out of bed.
