Hey there, all...

The Universe had it out for me the past couple days. The Iron Giant played on Cartoon Network yesterday, and [livejournal.com profile] arlekin came downstairs last night to give me this book, The Perks of Being a Wallflower.

It honestly doesn't take much to make me cry...well, it takes a lot less than most people I know. Most of the time, I cry when I see something incredibly beautiful or pure. I don't know why, but it fills me with...something, until it hurts, and I can't take it any more, and I cry. Personally, I *love* it when something makes me cry. My movie collection is full of things like that.

Hey there, all...

You know, I think my favorite image of God is the one you see on children's books, where he's this doddering smiling old man who just likes...everything. He's just like, "Man, peaches are just so awesome! I'm like, so glad I invented peaches!"

You could just walk up to him and go, "Hey God! What's up?" And he'd be like, "Oh, not much, my son, just sitting here and enjoying my fine peaches!" "Right on!" "Right on."
That's a gospel I could get behind. So, erm, go spread the Gospel of Peach Enjoyment.

I went to a dentist for the first time in about 6 or 7 years today. Surprisingly, I don't have *any* cavities at all...where it matters, anyway. My upper wisdom teeth both have cavities, and my lower wisdom teeth are going to crowd my bottom set pretty severely if I don't have them out by the end of the year. So...I'm going to have to get them yanked, and soon. :/

Apparently, the brown stain on my teeth isn't my teeth being really skanky, but too much fluoride in the enamel. It's called fluorosis. No kidding. And it means my teeth are like, Conan-teeth, and never get cavities. It's sweet. :) So, the dentist told me I should think about flossing, gave me a sample and the card of an oral surgeon to discuss removing my wisdom teeth, which have been the source of this mild discomfort in my mouth all along.

Now, I have to finish The Perks of Being A Wallflower. [livejournal.com profile] arlekin bought down Ender's Game for me to read next, even though I'd like to read something like Walden or Catcher in the Rye now. Something tells me I'm going to be reading like a fiend all summer. <:)
