Hey there, all...
Today, I work. After work, I'll go see Gangs of New York again, just because it was such a good movie. After that, who knows?
Work is...interesting. Now that I've finished with the religion section, I'm working on other sections that need work in the bookshop. They include: everything. Basically, I alphabetized the Beauty section by title (they don't have authors, many of them), cleaned up the Needlework + Sewing section, and made a lot of space for the Cooking section to overflow into. The shelves are just way full and there are books spilling over in stacks on the floor. They need a home, so I thought I would make them one. I also straightened up the Eastern Philosophy section into more distinct stuff: one bookshelf has Asian religion and philosophy (Buddhism, Zen Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism, Yoga, and Feng Shui) while the other has Indian stuff (Hinduism, Hare Krishna, and asst. Swami/Guru crap). We have a surprisingly large Hare Krishna section. I know they're kind of like a sect of Hinduism, but I have no idea what they're about otherwise. I'll have to research Hinduism a bit more, just to be 'in the know'.
Anyway, Charles comes up and tells me that he's about to send *60* theology books through, and I need to find a way to make room for them. Theology's overloaded *already*...geez! I feel like Scotty or something. Anyway, as soon as I get into work today, I have to make room for more Theology (which is a good thing, anyway), which is a simple matter but kind of takes a while. After that, I have to make signs for the other revamped sections, put my books on the shelves as well as Katy's front room books (she's on vacation) and check for Internet orders. Full day, and I have to be done by 3. oof.
Sat down to write yesterday and couldn't start on a single damned thing. I was seriously blocked, and very frustrated. If I can write sometime this evening I'm going to cement my door shut and break off my connection or something, and just do it.
Anyway, [Unknown site tag] put the idea in my head to have a furry acting troupe. I think that would be absolutely wonderful! :) 2 and I could work on comedy sketches before each show (I don't see myself as a good comedian, but I've been told that I could be good at it) and then we could put on an hour - 90-minute play on subjects relating to the fandom. I really don't want it to come off like some kind of After-School Special, and the danger of preaching to the audience is very very high with me.
