Hey there, all...
So I've taken to the habit of getting on the MUCK, checking e-mail and doing this LJ thing on my lunch break, since I can't ever seem to make it home during the week these days. The more I kind of hang around, the more I feel relegated to the peripheries of everyone's minds with the exception of maybe two people. Hmm. Maybe this is a good thing.
I'm really frustrated, still, though, because there's so much stuff I would like to do, like RP with
kibou over on The Dreaming, write a few essays, read The Last Unicorn, shower and shave, continue another Changeling-based RP with Eliahn, send e-mail and maybe pack a little but I can't. Grr.
I read a bit of a book about giants in folklore and mythology that I bought yesterday; it's really, really fascinating stuff. It's treated almost like a historical primer on the 'species,' and they mention a lot of names that you really wouldn't think of as giants, like Adam, Moses, and Pecos Bill. Keen stuff. :) I'm reading Ozark Magic and Folklore now, to see if I can give both "Innocence" and the on-line Changeling game a bit more...local flavour.
I'm debating whether or not I should get out of here at my regular time (3 p.m.) or stay a couple hours until 5 to get the Religious Studies (Ancient Religion, Religious Philosophy and Religious History) section all settled in. I'm pretty sure I could nail it down in about two hours, provided no one disturbs me. That's never a guarantee, though.
I'm in a kind of wistful mood these days, where I'm missing all of my ex-boyfriends, right down to Lou. He was my 'first', I guess, so he's really special and I miss him like crazy. I miss
blackfeather too, and one or two others, even though I'm moving in with one of them soon and not all of them were really 'boyfriends'. I'm so starved.
