I Can Decide
Oct. 29th, 2002 06:48 amHey there all...
I just slept a long time. I'm still tired.
My computer also did something really funky-stupid while I was using it, so I had to head off and try to fix it, which was annoying. Thankfully, after lots of tinkering, I finally got the computer to spit out the CD it ate, and I think my CD tray still works. Hurrah.
I was in a supremely bad mood last night. I had to call about three people to ask for a ride home, and even then I had to walk over to someone's house and cop a ride from a friend. I'm *really* tired of having to make a big production out of just going home. My roommate's got a job now, so he's on a different schedule than I am. And none of my friends are obligated to be a shuttle service. It's really frustrating to have to sit and wait an hour after work and *then* walk to someone else's house because I can't find a ride. Grrr.
I don't know what to do about it, really. I could find a new place that's closer to town, or learn to drive, or just accept the fact that I'm going to be spending a lot of time away from home. The first is really...unsatisfactory, and the only advantage would be being closer to work, but away from everyone else. :P The second would be ideal, but it'd take so much time to learn to drive, save up and buy a car, and get insurance on it; I don't think I'd be road ready until January, and then I would have to skip out on a lot of things. The third would be equally unsatisfactory; if I had a laptop to write on, it would lessen the impact....but alas.
In other news, November 1st is coming ever closer. I'm thinking about buying a bit of St. John's Wort to improve my mood to a level where I actually feel like doing something. Right now, I'm just so fatigued. By nothing. It's frustrating.
