I had an idea for a concept album, and this was to be the first track. It's been stuck in my head all day. I like the first half, but the second half has some sort of pesky cohesion. I'll try and rewrite it.

Whattamoon

children play
and Wednesdays fade
starry nights
in misty glades
preambles
to sunny days
coming soon
coming soon
future lives
of memories
come and go
as they please
locked up in
the pleasantry
of a big ole moon
a big ole moon
sitting there
pregnantfull
eyes lost in
the milky pull
whattamoon
whattamoon
creeping vines
sweep and sway
mourning that old
wonder day
seeming lost
but on its way
to chase the fool
chase a fool
armored cars
religious scenes
rob them of
their memories
grownups say
that life should mean
to loose the moon
lose that moon
children play
reality
is never what
it seems to be
catchy songs
bleed to me
whattamoon
whattamoon
flag-waving,
a belly keen
of swallowing
those mean ole dreams
do you know
what that should mean
bleeding loss,
and lose the key
sitting stars
pregnantfull
lose yourself
in their pull
advertise
your naked wool
to the moon
to the moon

to that moon
whattamoon

whattamoon
whattamoon
