I learned a very disturbing thing today.

Me and Ryngs went out to eat at Burger King today...and I had the opportunity to see a big nutrition information poster, displaying the calorie and fat content of all their product.

OK, so Burger King is my absolutely favourite restaraunt in the entire wide world. I adore their burgers, and their fries rock, too. They've got great strawberry cheesecake, and...well, carrion that smells like it's been flame-broiled is almost orgasmic. Most of the local (and not-so-local) people around know of my nigh-legendary passion for BK, even if they have the disgusting habit of smearing Shaquille O'Neal, Backstreet Boys and other corporate feces all over their stores.

Well, I think the love affair just officially ended today.

Normally, I get two double cheeseburgers, a 5 pc. chicken tender, medium fries and a Dr. Pepper whenever I go. You know how *evil* that turned out to be? Let's itemize.

Double cheeseburgers 600 calories *each*, 28 g of fat.
chicken tenders 200 calories, 10 g of fat
french fries 200 calories, 15 g of fat
Dr. Pepper 120 calories, ? of fat

God...that's...1500 calories, right there. In ONE MEAL. And all this time, I was wondering how I gained 30 pounds since I stopped being vegetarian. <:) Looks like it's time for Subway next time I want to eat out. For those that don't know, I'm dieting a bit and trying to step up my level of exercise in order to get in shape by AC. A friend, Frnkzk, challenged me to have 'abs' by the time we meet there, so I'm holding myself to it. The more I discover about it, though, the more daunting the prospect seems. ;) I really would like to have a lithe physique; you know, sort of a dancer's build. Silfur would be a really good goal to shoot for. But right now, I have no upper body strength at all, no really good sense of balance, a bush belly, and no endurance at all. Endurance and the gut are my top priorities right now; so, I'm adopting a regimen of light exercise and a low-fat, high-protein diet. Slim Fast, beef jerky and turkey sandwiches are rapidly becoming staples of my diet. Anyway, I'm going to have to be a bit more serious about it if I really want it to work...since I started the first of this month, I've been a little half-assed about it. This morning, I think I'll take a little jog to say, Waffle House. This weekend was pretty cool. Friday sucked a little, but I played mini-golf, so that was cool. Saturday, we got to see Spider-Man, which was a really, really good movie. Tobey Maguire rocked as Spidey, just like I thought he would, but Willam Dafoe and Kirsten Dunst were really cool, too. Whoever played Jameson nailed down a pretty good personality, too. Oh, and Aunt Mae was neat, too. ;) The ending was...interesting. I don't know, I just found it very...odd. I've gotten this obsession over mini-golf recently that doesn't seem to be dying down. I've played it, literally, every day this week, and I still don't get tired of it. :) It's...sick, really. :) Anyway, I'm going to try to get a lot of writing done today, and donate plasma as well. I *really* need to be better about saving money. Added Dook, Fraxx and Kendra to my friends list. Yay! :)
