I'm back!
So Sherri has a really nice house, actually. Three bedrooms, huge kitchen, all sorts of land around her, cows for Julie to chase...and more flies than you can shake a stick at. :P I found myself walking out onto the porch this morning to listen to the birds, watch a flock of crows dart across the street and back and hear the trees rubbing up against each other. Lovely place. :)
Unfortunately, I was too busy sleeping to really enjoy the party. :P Between Odis' game and fighting off all this sickness stuff I crashed out halfway through an excursion to Oklahoma and never quite recovered. I don't think I missed much, though; there was a botched game of Psychiatrist, lots of drinking, a weirdly-colored bonfire and maybe some necking. Since my only prospective partner for *that* was Hethe, maybe it was all for the better that I went in early.
Just got back fromBumfuck DeQueen a little while ago, and I thought I might step online and check all that was going about. And to plug Boomer Express.
For the most recent storyline, Tyrnn has kept most of my writing intact, and it's both a blessing and a curse; it's allowing me to see how much dialogue is too much, and to smarten it up accordingly. I *promise* this story is going to be quite a bit shorter (about 20 - 30 strips), and hopefully it'll flow a little easier into the next one; ultimately, what I'm aiming for is a month of comics to stand alone as it's own story (allowing new readers to quickly get caught up), but fit within a larger overarcing story. I already have next month's story planned out (though it might be a bit awkward since it's seasonal), and I would really appreciate feedback on what works and what doesn't. I'd like to get a few months of uninterrupted writing under my belt before I tried to tackle "Salvation" again, but I'll be trying to draw a few side comics in preparation. SO...er, please, go read and tell me what you think!!
