I'm feeling a bit better from last night, though there are stacks of books waiting for me to shelve, and I haven't gotten to them yet. Mondays are the worst, because it's just me and Charles in the morning. Don't get me wrong; Charles is pretty good company, but I need to stay up front until Matt or Don gets in, and well...I don't get anything done.

So, when I get the opportunity to come back, what do I do? I come back and write in my LiveJournal. Way to go, Time Management Boy.

Now that I'm here, though, I thought I'd say stuff. If there's anything my admittedly limited movie-watching experience has taught me, it's to never buy into the hype surrounding a movie. If everyone's talking about a movie and how great it is, it's really best not to get your hopes up, because nothing can ever really live up to its own buzz. After bombs like Godzilla, Titanic and the truly horrendous Mission to Mars, I've learned that, well...don't get excited about something just because other people say it's good. I've adopted the habit of never expecting anything out of a movie, and it affords me the nice opportunity of being pleasantly surprised fairly often. :)

That being said, The Return of the King is going to be the most fucking awesome movie I've seen all year. I cannot wait to see it...every time I see a trailer and get all teary-eyed, I know that the actual movie is going to do nothing short of completely blow me away. This movie will be the measuring stick from which all other fantasy movies will be judged. I actually plan on bringing a box of tissues along with my popcorn and soda. My only worry is that I'll be too loud during the actual movie. ;)

In other instances of faggotry, I cried during the LAST THREE MINUTES of The Iron Giant when they showed it on Cartoon Network over the weekend and I pretty much bawled during Bad Santa. If you weren't thinking of going to see that little move, please do. :) It's wrong on par with Death to Smoochy, but it's far far sweeter in its own grandly dysfunctional way. Billy Bob Thornton's an amazing actor.

Let's see, that's about it. I plan on busting my ass (I always *plan*, at least) through work today and I've written up a non-sucky Changeling game for Laz tonight. I do think I'll need more coffee than usual to get through today though.
