Hey there, all...

A lot of stuff to do, a lot of things to talk about, very little time...

Went to Eureka Springs over the weekend to visit Kevin and Don and a new friend, Brian. Also bumped into Brandon and Mikhail(sp?), and there was much dart-throwing and chocolate-eating. I *sucked*, but that was OK. I was heartily and good-naturedly ribbed for my anti-socialness, a trait which I lived up to in the car ride home with Brian. Brian's a pretty good guy, I just...didn't have anything to say, really. I did enjoy listening to him though. I *prefer* listening these days...except, you know, in LiveJournal. :)

Life has been more-or-less good. I had a very lengthy conversation with Phillip, the main character in "Grey Warming Over," and I think I have a handle on how to proceed now. I didn't realize how in-love he was.

Way behind on just about everything: Mustsy, e-mail, the 2 Sense forums, Boomer Express, clothes-buying. This weekend I really have to muster some kind of kick-assedness to get everything done. Well, not everything, but enough to not make me feel so bad about it. When did I get so busy?

Been reading Zen and the Art of Writing from Bradbury. He's such a little kid, and that kind of thing is infectious. I want to just go and throw myself at a typewriter, get hopelessly entangled in it, and see what comes on the page in my struggle to extricate myself from it. Did I mention that Bradbury is totally excellent with metaphor? :) See...? Infectious.

I don't think I'll talk too much about writing anymore, though...wastes energy. Speaking of, Ramadan is coming up soon, and I'll probably be fasting for it. <:) I pussed out last year because of stress, but I think I have a better bead for it. It does mean putting myself on a pretty strict schedule time and food-wise, but I think it's...worth it. I *think* MFF is right in the middle of it, so that kind of sucks, but eh...I've been through worse.

Lots of books to pack and ship, then to put on shelves. Must go and join the productive world. :)
