Hey there, all...
It's Monday morning and the general mood around the Bookshop is pretty somber. Bernadette's replacement, Jeannie, starts today, and no one seems to have a really good feel about her. She seems nice enough, but there are doubts as to whether she can handle the bookload. This job is nowhere near as easy as it looks. Nothing any of us can do about it now except help her out and hope she does well, but we've got our worries.
I do hate it that my stomach doesn't decide whether or not I need breakfast until after I'm already at work and can't do anything about it. I even check well in advance, like when I get up:
"You OK? Need any food?"
"Naw, man, I think I'll be good 'til lunch."
(45 minutes later and halfway to the bus stop) "Heeeeyyyy, where's breakfast? I'm hungry!"
"Damnit!"
My stomach doesn't *actually* talk to me, mind you. It just kind of gurgles and burps air at me to let me know its empty state. Sometimes I try to convince it that it's not really empty, it's just experiencing a form of satori (or, as![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
stickypawz puts it, micro-enlightenment), but it never really works. I don't think organs can experience enlightenment anyway.
I'm so weird today.
I wrote five and a half pages yesterday! Man, that makes me feel pretty good. I still have a *lot* more to write, though, so I'm going to see if I can duck off early and get to working on "Love In War" a bit more. When I need a break, there's most Mustsy critiques to do, and I could get started on a dialogue that's due this Friday. I could also write up Purra for Thunder Bay MUSH or write the end to the RL Changeling chronicle I was running. I could also get started on the on-line Changeling chronicle that I'll be starting when things get less insane (like that will ever happen).
And finally, Rabbit has been knocking on the door. Hmm.
