Hey there, all...
Today is the deadline for the chapbook submission. I've got a total of eighteen poems to send, all of varying lengths and ideas of goodness. I'm pretty proud of some of them, others I'm not quite so sure on. I wish I could have done a bit more futzing with them, but I got addicted to Cubis over the weekend, making ideas of productivity a last cause. <:) Saw "Spirited Away" last night; if you're ever stuck on writing or drawing or anything creative, I highly recommend going out to experience a new piece of art *somewhere*. It's a very impressive film, wonderfully bizarre and just...rich in scenery. There were many times where I just stared at the screen like, "Wow...". There were *breathtaking* shots. The train ride was especially noteworthy. Really eerie in an accurate sort of way. Had a mixed weekend. Bad things happened, good things happened, still didn't get to play mini-golf and didn't get nearly as much work done as I would have liked. :P But, them's the breaks. Today, hopefully, I can focus a bit on the stuff I need to do. I've been getting good pointers at the Bookshop about how to do things better, and faster, and I'm going to start incorporating those today, starting with...Judaism, Education and Philosophy! I get to try and straighten occult, too, since the duplicates can finally go to a bigger space. There's a Zen meditation group that meets tonight; I thought I would try it out. The Thursday group was a bit disappointing; less actual meditation and more New Age masturbation. <:) The more I explore different aspects of religion and spirituality, the more...simple I prefer things. Overclassification is the downfall of any religion, methinks. That's about it; busy day ahead. <:) Time to get ready for it.
