Hey there, all...
Well, things have been a little better since the last time I checked in. Joey seems to be a lot better (maybe it was just the computer), we got shitloads of food and I finally got my favourite movie (Pleasantville) on DVD! Hurrah...
Work was even more of a nightmare than usual. There were *way* too many people between the Homecoming Paraders, the deer hunters (modern gun deer hunting season starts today in Arkansas. Blah. :P), and the usual drunken frat boys and sorority chicks, there wasn't any time to do much of anything. Still, I managed to get everything on the checklist done in time for the morning rush. Will I ever get a thank you, or well done for it? No. I hate EZ Mart, and I hate game days, and I especially hate the Razorbacks.
Apparently, there's this perception among people who know me that I'm really weird and hard to figure out. I don't know where or how that perception came up (probably because I'm so flighty; well, faeries are like there), but I don't really see myself that way. I think I just have this very...personalized thought process that I really don't bother explaining to anyone, so when I make seemingly jarring zigs and zags in my mental tangents, it makes perfect sense to me (because, well, I'm making the connection) but no one else sees it so they're left in my dust.
So, I guess in the interests of self-serving egotism, I'll offer this key to figuring me out. Watch "Pleasantville," listen to "I've Been Delivered" by the Wallflowers and read "Zen For Beginners". Then eat a rose. They're really good. :9
Anyway, I just wanna say hi to Sylvan. :) I'm sorry I haven't mailed back the survey; I keep sitting down to start on it, then I forget and wander off to make yogurt or something, and then Joey'll come and turn off the computer. I'm trying, I promise.
Man, I'm in a weird mood.
I think I'm gonna go and watch "The Stand" or something, and eat a bit of cereal. Aaron's here, and he's entertaining company. :)
