Hey there, all...
I kind of bottomed out sometime this week from all the stress. I woke up yesterday morning and just kind of...collapsed, emotionally. I cried, talked to Dad for a moment, cried some more, got dressed and went to work.
Now I feel better. :)
Money's still tight, and it'll *be* tight for at least another month. That I can handle, as long as I budget and maintain the willpower to actually stick to it. The computer, on the other hand...
*sigh* My computer.
I got it from Joey in exchange for the laptop, which was actually a pretty fair deal. Joey even promised to buy a better processor for it once he got back on his feet. I mean, really, you can't beat that. :) But there are a lot of problems with it...even *after* we installed Windows 2000 on it (Delphi, actually).
The internet connection is extremely slow, like 5 minutes to load a single page slow. There are a lot of errors with it, and for some reason the box still locks up if it sits there idle for any period of time. I think a lot of the problem lies with the processor (there's a really tiny fan apparently for it, that does nothing to prevent it from overheating), so I'll go out and buy a new fan for it when I get off work today.
Speaking of work...it rocks! I've gotten my first ever paid vacation for the 4th! Yay! I'll probably spend it cooped up inside, writing a bunch of stuff I really need to get done. There's a lot of MUCK descriptions, short stories for Tyrnn and Teaselbone that I'd like to get done by AC, a letter for Tannenbaugh, Attempts No. 5 and 6, writing for both the Changeling and Mutants Down Under games...I'll be busy today and tomorrow. :)
Beyond that, things are...all right. Life is still shit right now, but my attitude's improved quite a bit. I feel relaxed (relatively) for the first time in weeks. Hurrah. I just really hope nothing else happens between now and AC. That would be bad.
