jakebeI haven't been very active here...or many other places, I suppose. This is because there's been a lot of writing and company and such that makes it difficult to be here in Journal-land or talk much elsewhere. Sadly enough, the more I do the more I *want* to do. I suspected that the more I was exposed to here the more would catch my interest. I'm right in so many ways, and I'm really glad I am. I just need more hours in the day to actually do things.
Work has gotten more intense over the past few weeks, especially since I've taken on the new job of Book Buyer supreme. There's a lot of stuff that's not the greatest right now (like not having the time to work on my sections properly) and it won't change until we get some help in the media department. Hopefully that will be coming soon, so I can stop stressing about making sure everything gets done on time.
The writing has been slow but steady. My shitty first draft of "Leap" was nicely received by the writer's group, which I'm both surprised and delighted by. It's actually pretty encouraging and makes me think I have something to offer writer-wise. Hooray! I think I'll try and tackle scenes of the second draft between parts of Elrabin's story.
And Tube is the most awesome, loving and supportive otter ever. He told me to say that.
But it's true. :)
