To everyone who's going to Anthrocon (and probably won't be reading this because they'll be in the reg line for the next two days), have fun! It sounds like it's going to be a truly awesome convention!

Saw "Resident Evil" again last night, and you know, that movie is a whole lot worse than I remember it being in theatres. Really, I don't remember it being that bad. Man. It was pretty ugly. I've updated my internal movie database accordingly. Unfortunately, it's beginning to look like if Milla Jovovich (my superbestfriend) has her name in the credits, it's probably best to stay away.

In other news, I've been listening to Coldplay's "Parachutes" a lot lately because it's just one of the most awesome albums ever. Also, "Gravity" by Jesse Cook. It's not a new album per se, but I found it in the Bookshop's library and have been listening to it quite a bit ever since. It brings back memories of folding t-shirts at The Nature Company in Baltimore. :)

Other than that, I haven't been doing too much of anything to write home about. Watching movies, finally getting into watching "Six Feet Under" with [livejournal.com profile] bamboofae, and being in a game or two has been the order of the day. Peregrine pointed a link to a website that recommends doing something creative every day, and I've taken that to heart. Yesterday, I finished up a journal entry for [livejournal.com profile] smileydanq and today I think I'll look over a few new MUCK descriptions, tighten them up and then finally update my 'look' to something more rabbity.

I also picked up (another) book on beginner's Russian. I actually like the look of this one enough to stick with it, I think, and maybe I'll try to find 30 minutes a day reading/writing/speaking Russian to get myself back up to form. It's my goal that this time next year I might prepare for going back to school, and if SJSU has a few Russian classes you bet I'm taking them.

We're getting to the point in the moving process where I'm finally going to need to start *doing* stuff to prepare, like choosing what stays and what goes, and what gets donated to the Salvation Army (or similar charity) and what to sell/give to friends and/or strangers. I've been putting it off for a while now because I just know it's going to set off this long state of melancholy that will last for who knows how long after I'm in CA. Despite all of the problems and such I've been having here lately, it's been home for the past six years and I'm really going to miss it.

Anyway, [livejournal.com profile] arlekin is here and we're off to have a party at [livejournal.com profile] daroneasa's place. We're going to try and get Niuk drunk on Cristal! Wheee!
