Hey, I'm not perfect. At least I'm not particularly sucky about any one thing. That's progress, ladies and gentlemen! ;D
There's so much to say it will have to wait for a weekend. Long story short; the trip was incredibly awesome, and it made me realized how loved I am. It's...amazing. Thank you to everyone who showed me friendship and generosity while I was away. I'm really lucky to have such awesome friends, and an amazing boyfriend. :)
Coming back from vacation has been difficult. Lots of work to catch up with at the Bookshop, which I expected, but there's the added bonus of having broken a tooth while on vacation. The hole is too big for a filling, so I'll need a crown. That crown is going to cost $900.
On the bright side, I'm now in a situation where I'm literally forced to pay attention to money and not spend so freely. This is something I've been needing to do for a good long while, and I'm not sure I would have learned how otherwise. Also, making sure I don't eat too much that will further damage the tooth is bound to help with eating habits. I've all but sworn off candy, and right now I'm trying the SlimFast diet to eat as little that can get stuck in the cavity as possible.
Still, $900. I'll be spending a bit of time trying to shop around for a dentist that offers a payment plan. I'll pay it as soon as possible, but I'd like to have something with a little wiggle room.
Now, work.
