So I Was Like "Rah Rah Rah"
May. 13th, 2009 01:38 pmToday has been pretty annoying so far.
I was walloped for five overdraft fees over last weekend, and after spending several days trying to find someone to deal with it I was told that they couldn't do anything about it. So, I'm out over $100 for $12 or so of overdraftage. This is because my work cafe decided to bunch all of my breakfasts into one packet of financial pain, right before payday. I admit that I should have been watching the finances more closely, but the punishment is awfully excessive.
My diet is still a work in progress, and I can't seem to tweak it to my satisfaction. There's no official RDA of sugar, for example, but it's generally agreed that you don't want more than 40 g of it per day. I've been guzzling three times that, at least, and bringing it down to that level just...doesn't seem possible. (A pack of Skittles, by the way, has 42 g of sugar alone.)
People at work have been exceptionally annoying today, though I'll be the first to admit that my tolerance is shot to hell. I should make a bracelet or something to remind myself to emulate the paragon of customer service: What Would Welcis Do?
Ah well. At least my lunch (vegetarian red beans and rice, with broccoli and corn bread) is pretty damned tasty, and not even close to being bad for me. I do believe I'll spend the rest of lunch cooling my heels, and finishing off Volle.
