I woke up this morning at 5 am, stumbled out of my door and hit this incredible wall of fog. I couldn't see the shops across the street from our apartment, and cars were these hazy balls of light that floated homelessly through the air.
The driver drove the bus slowly to make sure that all of the people waiting weren't missed. We made our way through a little bit at a time until shapes resolved themselves, then we would stop to pick them up. Almost everyone looked relieved that they were seen.
I got to work, sat down for reception in a lobby with big windows, and watched the sun come up slowly. The fog cleared reluctantly, but by nine the fuzziness was replaced by a crisp, windy day.
After walking through that fog for hours and watching it slowly burn away all morning, the sun is simply gorgeous.
