Return of the Exercise (NaBloMo)
Nov. 7th, 2007 06:45 pmSo
timsusman had this really great idea as counter-programmng for NaNoWriMo: National Blogging Month. The idea is to write at least one entry in your blog for every day in November, including the Thanksgiving holiday. I've missed one week already, but it's never too late to jump in! Hopefully what I lack in quantity I can make up for in quality, or something.
shaterri had another really great idea in which he plans to write about something he's grateful for every day in November, the month of Thanksgiving. I figure one great idea can be made even better with another great idea, so why not give it a go?
First, though, exercise stats:
Time: 35 minutes
Distance: 3.09 miles
Speed: 6.0 mph
Calories: 312
mut came running with me today! He's a lifesaver, because I was totally just going to get drunk and watch Jeopardy! instead. He regaled me with stories of life in an English boarding school while we ran. Since Jim Dale is too busy with Pushing Daisies to come to my house and read Harry Potter, I figure this is the next best thing.
My exercise regimen has taken a hit because of a new work schedule and some stresses and, I'll admit it, out and out laziness. I was so proud of myself for doing it regularly that I thought I could rest on my laurels and, lo and behold, I fell out of the habit again. Boo for me.
I haven't been updating very frequently for months now, and perhaps that's something of a good sign. I'm doing a lot of things these days, so it's hard to find time to sit down and journal. Whenever I get a chunk of free time, there are always three or four things I could be doing and writing here always seems to lose out.
Anyway, enough about my poor time management! Today, I am grateful for
mut for indirectly encouraging me to run, and for being such good company while I got gross and sweaty. Here's to you, dog!
