The 'good' treadmill was in use by this small Asian woman who kicked my ass. She was running faster than my top speed in one solid chunk for the entire thirty minutes. She was my muse, my inspiration to keep running. Hats off to you, small Asian woman!

The 'bad' treadmill isn't quite as smooth as the good one, and the display isn't quite as boffo; I still managed to get the basic stats I wanted, though, so no worries there. I started off at 2.5 mph and kept increasing speed by .5 mph every thirty seconds until I was at 5.0 mph. There I stayed for three minutes, and went up to 5.5 mph for five more minutes before topping out at 6.0 mph at ten minutes, and I stayed there until the two minute cool down.

It was hard going the last few minutes, but I stuck it out until the bitter end. I don't know how quickly my legs will recover this time, but I plan on running again after work on Thursday. From there I'll go on to Sunday again, then Wednesday, then Friday, hopefully. That'll be my normal routine until I feel comfortable with adding another day a week.
