These Are The Days of Pennies

The dust has settled, half of the boxes are packed, and I am in my new home safe and sound. Right now I'm still feeling dazed from the rush of the past few months. All of the planning and saving and goodbyes and preparations coming to fruition so that finally it's over and I can start, well...this new chapter.

arlekin for being so incredibly awesome and agreeing to go on a road trip with me in the first place. :) He's been really fantastic every step of the way; trying all the new things, going to restaurants that were a bit over our budgets in the interest of being sociable, playing mini-golf in fucking Austin heat, getting me sweet deals for a hotel that has a hot tub *and* sauna...the list goes on and on. Thank you, Cy. You're one of the coolest people I know and I hope that your trip back is very cool and a lot less expensive. :)
ipequey, drleo and cashew_lou, thanks for showing me such a great time around Austin, and introducing me -- finally -- to the joys of the Alamo Drafthouse. When I finally make enough money shelving books, I'm going to need to import those out west. :) And Leo, your shirts are as high-quality as ever. Well done! Thanks to Cooner and Colson for having dinner with us that first night in, as well. And finally, to Ip, the great host, for Wonder Showzen and being as generally crazy as I remember you. :)
invisiblewolf, thanks for the crash space for those two nights. I wish we had a lot more time to hang out and watch...and I kid you not...The Weather Channel. ;) I've never been that entertained watching someone describe a circular air current. bloo_gryffe, thanks for being patient while we figured everything out, and I had a lot of fun! Thanks again for the super-sweet phone, I'm enjoying it immensely. ;) And Badger, it was so very good to finally meet you. Thanks for introducing us to the wonders of Korgoth!
