jakebe: (Happy Bad Rabbit!)
Friday: Unlike roughly 80% of my friend's list, I was not at AC. I was instead playing in [livejournal.com profile] arlekin's Werewolf: the Apocalypse game. There, Dan not only dealt with a small bit of fallout from finally snogging the kitsune he had been awkwardly courting for several days now (who knew that having a nervous breakdown would give you that sort of courage?), but he also failed miserably at his first attempt of diplomacy with the vampires who control the town to the north. This will have repercussions for the rest of the storyline, I'm sure.

Saturday: Went to work, but admittedly didn't do too much. Came home, watched an episode of Firefly ("Heart of Gold"), then got back into Angel, sans Brian unfortunately.

Sunday: Woke up way too early and headed out to Tulsa to see The Lion King. It was, simply put, an amazing experience. The story was pretty much a 'review' of the movie, but the costuming, art design and stage direction was some of the most innovative work I had ever ever seen. The "Circle of Life" scene was the most amazing thing I had seen in any theatrical production anywhere. I cried. |:)

Afterwards, we ate at the Spaghetti Warehouse. Which is a WAREHOUSE. That serves SPAGHETTI. For some reason, this strikes me as pure and simple genius. I had the chicken tetrazini and a glass of sangria, and it weren't too bad.

After *that*, we came home and played board games, which was awesomely fun. A movie trivia game, a great little party game called Oodles, and finally Upwords. I was on the winning team, with Dragon-Mat, because we're so awesome. <3

Monday: Spent the day being gloriously lazy and pampered by mice. Then, went to see Nacho Libre with [livejournal.com profile] arlekin. Withholding from saying too much, because I would like to write a really real movie review for it. After that, dinner and Target, where I finally got a dry erase board that I can warn people to stay away with.

Last night, I had my very first moving dream. In the first part, a bunch of us were living in this three story house, including basement. For some reason, I dream about this place a lot. Anyway, we were trying some things that weren't looked upon favorably by the law (though what I couldn't say; I'd like to say it was some kind of high mucketymuck magic, but it was just as likely that we were growing peanuts without a liscence) and eventually we were being raided. We had written up an escape plan for just such an occasion the night before, but I deviated from actually using it and it saved me from getting caught. We all went our seperate ways, though some of us decided to get new apartments in 2s and 3s and 4s.

Then, me and Odis were in just such an apartment. Somehow, one of the backrooms of the Bookshop was a part of it, and we were packing everything up to go our seperate ways. The split was very bittersweet, but amicable. We spent our last few days reminiscing while packing, and having fun and generally appreciating each other. I hope our *real* split could be like that.

Looking into the future, work's going to be a bit of a beast today but it shouldn't be anything I can't handle as long as I'm left to handle it. I'll likely come home and either watch the last bit of Six Feet Under's first season or another movie. Somewhere in there, reading stuff that [livejournal.com profile] ladyperegrine and [livejournal.com profile] daroneasa sent me years ago and writing my movie review should be inserted.

Oh, and congratulations to [livejournal.com profile] reahkitty for getting her Dream Job teaching in Rogers! And to [livejournal.com profile] ralkor for finally running the gauntlet that will let him practice medicine the way he wants to! And happy birthday to my favorite growy dracoroo, [livejournal.com profile] tyrnn! I hope Niagara Falls and outlying area was intensely awesome. :)

And finally, Happy Father's Day to [livejournal.com profile] dakimov. I treasure you. :)

Time to get this day started, as they say.
