So I finally managed to see "Serenity" over the weekend. Holy cow, what a movie! I was pretty shocked and saddened by some of the events, one of which in particular struck me as arbitrary and pointless -- but a quick conversation with [livejournal.com profile] toob cleared that right up. Another lesson in storytelling learned by the great master Whedon, as translated through otta.

Tonight I'll be starting Game 1 of my D+D game, entitled (originally enough) "The Chronicles of Oak's Home." I'm very excited, though I'm giddily nervous as well. Hopefully, [livejournal.com profile] stickypawz and [livejournal.com profile] arlekin will come away with a pretty good feeling about the whole thing. I'll try to post a summary sometime over the weekend, but to be honest, I'm pretty behind on quite a few things at the moment.

Tomorrow I get to wake up super-early and go to the Free Clinic, so I can get an appointment for *another* wisdom tooth extraction. I'm a bit annoyed about this; I asked the dentist (if that's really his name) to take it out last time I went there, but he just shrugged and said "We only focus on the teeth that are actually a problem." Well, two or three months later, and it's breaking up in my head; just as I predicted. Grrr.

One good thing to come out of the deal is 'getting' to go to work super-early. There's a lot of stuff I could do with the four or five extra hours I'll be there, though I'm pretty sure I'll take at least an hour or two to catch up on writing.

I...er...kind of disappeared on a few people last night. Sorry about that; I woke up this morning with my laptop on my lap and a rather guilty feeling in my head. :)

There's a lot of other stuff to write about, but I have to put the finishing touches on the game. (Yes, at work; there's a reason I'm behind.)
