1. What is your favorite movie of all time?

This is kind of a copout answer, but also true. I have a roving list of four or five movies that take the top spot depending on my mood. These are: "American Beauty," "Requiem For A Dream," "Moulin Rouge," and "Pleasantville." Recent favorites, though, are "Magnolia" and "Dancer In The Dark." For the purposes of this quiz, my favorite movie is "Pleasantville"...for now!

2. How often do you watch this movie?

Ohhhh, I'd say anywhere from 2 - 4 times a year. It's a great bad weather movie. :)

3. What's your favorite line out of the whole movie?

"Don't worry, we're safe here. Thank goodness we're in a bowling alley." -The Mayor

4. Who's your favorite character from this movie?

Bill Johnson, because watching him arc from simple soda fountain owner to full-fledged Artist is the emotional heart of the movie for me. There are so *many* stories of discovery and wonder that weave themselves in, but watching someone's vision of the world change so immensely is a complete and total joy to watch. Also, he responded to the town's ban on color by painting one of the most beautiful murals I have ever seen. :)

5. What scene do you love the most?

Hmmm. When Betty Parker runs to Bill's ice cream shop, and he discovers she's gone colored too. He takes off her make-up and paints her completely naked on the storefront window. A watershed moment for both characters. :)
