Despite feeling crappy for most of the week I actually pulled out of it in time for Christmas. I didn't really do anything special because well, family is Jehovah's Witnesses (and in Baltimore) and NARFA scattered to the four winds this year, but it was an enjoyable holiday nonetheless.

In the afternoon/evening, went to Denny's with Ryngs and made an absolute pig of myself: chicken strips, french toast and coffee. It was so worth it, though. :9 I and Ryngs spazzed about a little bit of everything while watching the poor harried waitresses yell at the poor harried cooks so they could serve the griping holiday customers. Public servants are so vastly underappreciated it's not even really funny.

Went out and saw two movies, both as kind of spur-of-the-moment things. "Brother Bear" was still in theatres so I decided to take Ryngs out and see it one last time before it left. If I can see something four times in a two month period and it still manages to make me cry, well, that's quality (and I'm a raving puss). The first transformation sequence is just remarkable.

Went to see "Peter Pan" as an even bigger impulse type dealy, and woo, I'm glad I did. Peter Pan isn't one of my favorite fantastic-children stories, but this movie easily outdoes anything I've seen before. The visuals are just stunning, the acting is top-notch, and it has just the right degree of sharpness that makes you think of the story in a very...real way. You're *not* sure everything's going to be all right, and Neverland is as dangerous as it is fun. Well, well worth seeing. Highly recommended.

I also very nearly completed my Changeling collection yesterday. "Pour L'Amour et Liberte: The Book of Houses 2" moved through the bookshop and I snatched it right up. I thought I was done, but alas, there's a rather obscure little book that came with the Seelie Court's Storyteller screen called "The Book of Lost Dreams" that I don't have. I'd really like to get my hands on that, and the screen, too, but by now it's nothing short of impossible to find. I think I might do a little digging when next I have the time.

Now that the Christmas frenzy is over we head into the final stretch of the holiday season...New Year's. With that comes retrospectives and progress reports, and resolutions of what to better in the future. Of course, I'm following the trend. :) I only have two resolutions for this next year, and one of them is just oen of those things you do instead of talk about. The other is to learn Linux. :)

I'm sorry to all of the friends I forgot when I listed a few that I appreciated. I've been getting it kind of hard from all sides with that, so apologies. <:) Just because you're not mentioned doesn't mean you're not loved...it just means I'm bubble-headed. I've decided that I really like the word 'hooroo'. I don't even know what it means, but Mike Kangaroo uses it to close his journal entries, and it rather does roll of the tongue. Try it. Hooroo. :)

I'm going to sue you even though I don't know how to spell the word.

I swear, things like this should cause parents to lose their right to rear children. Toddlers are not fucking cash cows.
