"Dodo Bird."
Dec. 17th, 2003 08:57 amJust a quick thing before work.
Yesterday as it turns out I didn't play eithe game; the "Wheel of Time" game was 'cancelled' because it turned otu to be more trouble than it's worth, and instead of playing Aubrin's game we sat around and bsed about LARP stuff all night. Twasn't a bad way to spend the evening, and we all got experience for it any way. :)
Apparently, the LARP got a whole lot more interesting last game. It's a Sabbat Vampire LARP (ick.) where I play an independent Gangrel (well, in one game so far anyway). Game before last, I was asked to help the two packs do a reconnaisance mission to a place called Zero Mountain. We were supposed to gather information about some way-bad supernatural crap that was going on there, and go. Well, it got messed up.
The pack I was with has this Tremere antitribue as its ductess(sp?). They went in with guns ablazing, and by the time the other pack came to back them up, things had gotten fubared. We got hurt but we killed...something...that had gotten out of the mountain, and the police were due to arrive. The pack I came with? The Tremere split with them, leaving me and my Brujah companion left to dry. Thankfully, the other pack included us in their escape plans.
Needless to say my Gangrel was furious, but nothing came of it. Since I was independent it didn't really matter; I got healed for my wounds and big pat on the back. The other pack doesn't really like this Tremere, though, and there's been constant tensions between them forever. This last game things came to a kind-of head, and several players nearly died in a full-out attack on whatever was going on with Zero Mountain. Soap opera-level stuff. :D
I'd say more, but work calls.
Anyway, Lord of the Rings tonight. :) Just got done with visiting the Army of Doom forums, posting a bunch there. There's a lot of hatred, hypocrisy and just...bad vibes going around all over the community that really wears you out. I really should just focus on what I'm doing instead of getting involved.
Whoo, almost late for work. More later, perhaps.
