The Season

Hey there, all...

It's Halloween, and all is right with the world. I didn't get to wear my pooka suit today, but I carried off a vaguely religious/undertaker look that seems to go over well. People are *more* impressed by my shiny pocketwatch...even though I wear it every day anyway. :)

The stars aligned and I got up early today! Had Pop Tarts, milk and a vitamin, and wasted the rest of the morning watching cartoons.

Growing Smaller....

Hey there, all...

On the recommendation of a friend, I bought Breakfast of Champions by Kurt Vonnegut and read the first four chapters. I plan on finishing it this weekend, and it's already inspired me to write a children's book called Fat Hair, based on a conversation I had with Heidi. :) I feel the muck that I've been slogging through for a while peeling off of my head and dripping from my fingers, and just like that I'm able to think and write a bit more clearly. Four chapters in. There might be something to this Vonnegut guy after all. I've never had a book provide me with quite this level of impish glee before.
