Poem: Giddy

This makes me go crazy for some reason.

Giddy

This is just one of those days
when the world is full of beautiful things
that are deliriously happy but sad in its core
and you feel it all at once
like a foot that's just waking up
after an hour of being sat on.
So overwhelming, you can't hold it
but all you can do is squirm and grit your teeth
and wait for it all to pass
and weep for knowing something as intense as all that.
An ache, a tickle, a prick,
attacking from a universe of sides,
reminding you that You. Know. Nothing.
And knowing that is just enough sometimes.
I'm gritting my teeth.
