I was walking to the bank this morning, and lo, a song fell into my lap. It turned out a bit darker than I wanted it to; I'll see if I can come up with a *completely* saccharin version.

Indie Band

We are just a little indie band
We hail from Indiana
Our name is 'Poncho's Ceiling Fan'
how does that name grab ya?

We travel in our minivan
doing rock band covers
We hide behind our guitar-man
he's the photo lover

One day
we'll say
that we knew you back when we were
small.

We are just a little indie band
playing in our garage
We write our tunes for Everyman
we just want some applause

Before you know we're everywhere
on the cover of US Weekly
Sex and booze and underwear
Our guitar-man is tweaking

Break down
bust up
and just like that, we'll be falling
tall.

But for now we're just some indie band
We play the clubs on weekends
When we're approached by agent-man
we'll change our name to 'Cheekins'

We're a little indie band
(we like the Rolling Stones, man!)
We're a little indie band
(guitars and amps go hand-in-hand)
We're a little indie band
(we don't know what we're doing and)
We're a little indie band
(we've got our future in our hands!)
