Hey there all...
A super-rare Sunday post. Mark this one down for your collections. ;P
Life is...interesting. The Halloween Beating was a smashing success for just about everyone involved. Couldn't get any pictures of my costumes, but since I plan on wearing it to work on Thursday and there'll be *another* costume Beating next week, I'll have plenty of photo opportunities (and better ones) for later.
I decided to keep my mohawk. <:) Enough people have expressed a liking for it (even my *boss*) that I'm going to see just...how well it's going to look. It'll be ass for the next week since I've shaved my goatee, but hey, you have to make sacrifices for the art of costuming. <:) Movie update: I auditioned to be in a local independent short film called "Sweat Shop" about a week ago today. It's about this guy who's a chick magnet, because of the pheromones his sweat produces. So his three friends pretty much make a business out of selling his sweat to people to score with the ladies. Well, eventually he quits and goes off to get married with a lady who has no sense of smell. It was...juvenile, but kind of funny at the same time. Anyway, I auditioned for the part of "Alex", the sweaty loser bastard with a heart of gold. And I *almost* got the part, too, except the next to last guy for the auditions *nailed* it, and they gave it to him instead. They all said they were supremely impressed with my 'presence' on-screen, and would *love* to work with me anyway. If I could just play the guitar, I would have gotten a speaking (singing) part. As it is, I'll be an extra, and they'll contact me for future movies. Not a bad turnout, I guess. :) I'm getting really nervous about NaNoWriMo. I ahve a lot of other projects that need to be done, like Boomer Express and ??Salvation??, and they've taken on the feel of me writing my Last Will and Testament. <:) There's also Christmas stories I'd like to write, and we'll see about that. There's also a story for "Historimorphs" 'due' by Thanksgiving (I haven't forgotten!), so I'm making snail's progress on that, but...it's progress. I've been...'cutting' people I feel aren't healthy to continue pouring energy into, and that's really hurt a lot this week. There've been a couple of people I've known *forever* that I had to 'let go' of, and it's put me in a slightly underlying funk that's been in the back of my mind this week. Especially since I know the situation isn't really 'resolved', and if they just gave me one reason to pick things up again I would. I really hate being so needy. Ramadan is coming up. I've been gorging myself like a big fat pig in the meantime. :) I suppose I should really start 'preparing' for it now, you know, getting used to hunger and the like. But right now, for various reasons, gluttony is the order of the day. :) I'm going to have to ask for help with that. Didgeridoo Meditation today at 3, which I'm *really* looking forward to. After that, a movie or two with friends, then back here to RP with a couple of people. Work early tomorrow. All in all, life is good. :)
