Nice Dream

So, I remembered my first nightmare in the new house.

I very rarely remember my dreams, unless they have some sort of spiritual or personal importance. I only remember, I guess, when I need to remember.

Me and Ryngs were driving around on Dickson Street, near where the Fayetteville Public Library is. Only there was a bank or burned out gas station or something there. Anyway, we were running out of gas so we decided to get to a gas station (a working one, apparently) before we ran out completely.

Next thing I know, we were walking down this hill, with Ryngs' car following behind us, undriven. It was just sort of coasting, very slowly, down this hill. When it reached the intersection of Dickson and College (a pretty busy one), I got in on the right side and started driving it up the road. I wasn't very good, because I didn't have any sort of liscense yet.

Anyway, we drove to my place and Ryngs dropped me off. I was staying with two other people, who were probably related to me in some way, but I really don't know how. That was just the impression I got. In the house, there was this...entity, that would manifest as a disembodied hand that would grab your shoulder and squeeze, and you'd turn just in time to see it going away, or dissipating. It wasn't malicious, but you got this bad feeling from it, like it was trying to scare you, and was very very powerful.

I was in bed, with the covers over me, and suddenly I saw this shadow move over me, and then there was this weight, that started bearing down on my chest. It wasn't crushing force, but certainly a lot more than I would have liked. I couldn't see anything but this shadow beyond my covers, bearing down on me, and when I tried to scream I couldn't. I was expelling air, and I could hear myself straining to be heard, but nothing came out.

When I woke up, I remembered dreaming about the disembodied hand the night before. And I couldn't get back to sleep. Whatever the entity was, it has this "Mothman" feel to it. Mysterious, unknown, but almost...deliriously frightening. It feels like it's been here for a long long time.

I think it's time to approach whatever spirits might be out here, and give a little offering.
