Hey there, all...

I'm feeling a lot better, thanks to...I really don't know what, exactly. Probably all of you, though. Awww. :)

My legs are exceedingly sore today. :P I've had to run for the bus just about every day this week, though, so that might have something to do with it. Yes, I am that out of shape. No need to tell me I'm pathetic, I already know.

I got Black Studies and Native American duplicates done yesterday, and I played mini-golf, but little else happened with regards to productivity. That's OK, though, it was a good day anyway. Today, I hope to:

1. Move cookbook duplicates to their new home.
2. Write Boomer Express for next week.
3. Continue writing the macro story I've been working on.
4. Start creating an 'alternate' WoD for an on-line Changeling game.
5. Catch up on woefully ignored e-mails.

I'm not expecting to get everything in that list done, but three out of five ain't bad.

With regards to writing, it's been a very uphill battle to create anything; <user site="livejournal.com" user="potoroo"> has the same problem and I think it's because of the same thing. In order to write anything effectively, you really have to believe in the story you're telling, and not only that but you have to believe that the way you're telling the story is adequate. It's really hard for me to get up the 'nerve' to think that I'm doing the story a service by telling it...I always end up thinking that it's being bungled somehow. There's so much that needs to be said...where do you start? Presentation is pretty difficult. I think that I use overly-verbose language when I write, and it loses people, not because they don't/can't understand it, but because they shouldn't have to wade through a paragraph-long sentence to get the idea that say, travelling on asphalt in bare feet is difficult.

My Russian teacher gave me what might possible be the greatest piece of advice I've ever received: "Your job as a writer is to say the most that you can in the least amount of space." It's something I've been trying to do for a while now, and I'm very slowly making progress.

The New Tibet story, the Historimorphs story...they're all delicious opportunities that I will never forgive myself for passing up. So I guess I really have to crunch if I want to take them.

Does anyone have any good ideas for releasing tension? Usually, when I sit down to write, incense, a pipe and a shot of whisky helps quite a bit, but I don't want to become a lush at the tender age of 22. <:) Anything that *doesn't* involve alcohol?

Oh yes, and a test. Haven't posted one of these in a while, but it's neat. :) I couldn't decide between shapeshifting and super strength, but shapeshifting won out.
