Platitudes

[livejournal.com profile] arlekin's Werewolf game went pretty well last night. As funny as ever (Odis and Jim are *excellent* gaming buddies), and Dan (my Gurahl -- which is a fancy name for werebear, by the way) is slowly but surely starting to develop a personality and manner. This is, honestly, my favorite part of the game -- building a character, finding his quirks, letting each situation bring out different sides of him. I found myself inserting shades of Jack from "Lost," into him, though...which I'm not sure is a good thing. Also, his Arcas (Trickster/Ragabash/whathaveyou) nature is starting to peek through. It's definitely fun to play out, but I just *know* it's going to get me into trouble with the local sept's leader.

Because of the lateness of the game (and the subsequent late-night trip to IHOP), I didn't get a lot of sleep last night, and forewent exercise this morning. [livejournal.com profile] toob will be very disappointed, I'm sure. :/ Still, hopefully lugging bookcases, computers and beds up two flights of stairs after work will more than make up for whatever I've missed this morning. I'll also jog on Sunday, which *was* my planned day of rest. It's good to have a *little* wiggle room, anyway.

Speaking of diet/fitness, last time I weighed myself I was down to 170, which means I've lost 5 pounds from the beginning of the month! Sunday is usually the 'official' weigh-in day, and I hope I'll have shaved off another pound by then. Keeping consistent with diet and exercise -- the main objective this week -- I definitely managed, so I can step things up a little bit next week. Maybe by next weekend I can even try to bike down to Dickson St.

I'm going to try to move the bulk of my stuff tonight and tomorrow night. I think I can manage it easily enough, though it'll be a wee bit messy. Still, I'm aiming for speed. Next week, I'll try to rabbit-proof the room while it's still...relatively easy to do so, and clean up the place a bit. Argh, so busy.

Work is fine; I actually have a bit *more* time to goof off today than usual. Heidi and I work pretty well together, though she's more hardcore on the job than I am. When I grow up, I want to be just like her. ;)
