This haiku feels odd
and bottom-heavy;
it might be onto something.

Mainland, island meet;
The Tao and Zen are brothers,
though Zen is greater.

(Odis and I have this friendly rivalry about Taoism vs. Zen, even though I consider Zen to be Taoism in a Buddhist context. It's our own version of religious fundamentalism.)

Intoxicating,
these words that lose all meaning
when you see the page.

When you think vegetarianism is right for you,
it probably is.
When you think vegetarianism is right for all,
eat a goddamned cheeseburger.

Untethered is the mind
anchored by runaway thoughts;
smash it against the wall
to make sure it stays where it ought to be.

Rise up, fall back down;
you know too much to claim brains.
For once, be a fool.
